Tour Overview
If ticking off seeing the Big 5 — leopard, lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo — is on your bucket list, then choose a Kruger safari. It’s not unusual to see all five in one day. As one of the oldest conservation areas in Africa, Kruger regularly delivers fantastic wildlife sightings with healthy populations of sought-after species like cheetah and wild dog plus excellent birding Don’t expect vast sweeping savannahs like you see in Out of Africa. The vegetation here is thicker than in East Africa and much of the landscape is open woodland or denser acacia scrub. It is beautiful and is studded with giant trees which are perfect for leopards to hang out in. Rocky hills known as koppies that are often the territory of klipspringers: small, monogamous antelope that mate for life.

Yes with a detailed Intinary
-
Are the local guides on the tour English speaking?
All guides speak English , we also have guides that speak German on request
-
Can I join the tour once it has departed?
I'm afraid due to the locations it would be difficult to join the tour, but we would always try to work things out
-
Specialist photographic Vehicles
These can vary depending on which safari and country, such as in South Africa you are not allowed open sided vehicles. These will be tiered allowing for 6 photographers and ensuring everyone has a window seat (not that there are any windows!).
-
What Ethical Travel credentials does the tour company have?
Wildlife Dreams is very much involved with wildlife conservation. We only work with Ethical Travel credential companies.
-
What documents will I receive before I travel?
Full itinerary details and what would you should bring on safari.
-
How long should I go on safari? How many days do I need?
Three days is not enough time to really enjoy an African safari. It’s barely enough for a taste. Instead, we recommend planning at least seven days and six nights on safari. This will allow you to visit at least two different locations, which is important and truly immerse yourself in mother nature. The truth is that the more time you spend on safari, the more time you’ll have to see something
-
How long has the tour company been trading?
Two years
-
What's the best Month to go on Safari ?
The best month to go on safari depends on what you want to see, experience, and do. Every month offers something different for visitors. In general, most safari destinations can be visited year-round. However, the weather does change each season, particularly when it comes to rainfall and thus game viewing.
-
What policies are in place for Covid-19?
All our safari camps/lodges and vehicles are cleaned every day for Covid-19
-
Malaria in Africa?
Although malaria is prevalent in Africa the chance of you as a visitor contracting the disease is very small. It is essential to take prophylactics which must be administered by your doctor before departing on your safari. Covering up in the evenings and using repellent on the areas that can’t be covered, will assist in preventing mosquitoes biting.
-
Dates upon request ?
Our tours are specially designed trips for photography enthusiasts who are particularly interested in wildlife and landscape photography. Whilst we endeavour for all our tours to depart on the given departure dates, they are not guaranteed until we have confirmation of availability from our accommodation and tour guide partners'.
-
What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
We would find a date for you to go on your amazing Safari, but we can't give a full refund due to our terms and conditions
-
Will the accommodation included meet local health and safety regulations?
All of our camps and lodges meet the full local health and safety regulations and why we use them for every safari.
-
Do you operate a “single share” option and how does it work?
All our prices are single supplement rates
-
Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
Your travelling companions will have the same passion as you for photography and wildlife. You will come as strangers but leave as friends.
-
Camp sizes
Most people don’t realize that most camps are very small. So they don’t impact on the environment. So bookings for camps for the world market can be intense. Wildlife Dreams have been working to secure these camps just for our tour groups, but our opportunity doesn’t last forever.
-
Am I contributing to any charity by booking the tour?
Our profits from all our tours go towards our conservation partners on our website.
