Grading

TRIP GRADING - INTRODUCTORY TO MODERATE (2)
The trip requires a basic level of fitness from participants, which they should have acquired from steady cycling. The tours take you up to a height of between 100 and 300m / 328 to 985ft above sea-level. The daily tours from 15 to 35km/9.5 to 21.5mi lead you through hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time-constraints. Participants will also need to master long and steep climbs, during which you may need to push the bike. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned bike-tour. We will traverse mostly asphalted roads, which are rarely travelled on outside the holiday seasons. Each day you can either decide to bike alone, using the information and maps provided, or join the tour guides. It is considered suitable for fit beginners and active children (minimum 10 years, height minimum is 1.2m/4ft for hybrid bike or 1.5m/5ft for e-bike). *For safety reasons, we insist that cycle helmets be included as a compulsory item on your equipment list.

What You Carry

During the cycle day you will carry your daily requirements in the pannier provided with the bike. This may include your lunch, wet weather gear, mobile phone and water. A small daypack which can be kept inside the pannier is useful for sightseeing.

Mode of Transport

Individual arrival by car to Trogir or by plane to Split airport. Taxi transfer can be booked on request for an additional cost from Split airport or hotel to the boat in Trogir.

A fantastic way to explore the Northern Dalmatian Coastline without the hassle of driving. The trip offered a good balance between cycling, swimming and city tours. The bikes were more than adequate, you do not need to take a helmet - they are available locally. Most people hired the E-bikes. All the tour guides spoke fluent English and were supportive throughout. I loved this trip!
