Day 2 : Colonial Mexico: The City Tour
Location: Ciudad de México

Today, discover the historical center of the capital accompanied by your English-speaking guide. Let's go to the "Zócalo", the central square. This is the name given to this square in Mexican cities because it was originally home to the statue of the King of Spain or the Conquistador who founded the city. After independence, all these figures were removed, leaving only the base of the statue, the "zocalo" in Spanish. Visit the cathedral of Mexico City and the National Palace, where the works of Frida Khalo's famous lover, Diego Rivera, are displayed. You will then pass by the famous Reforma Avenue along which you can admire the emblematic monuments of the city. Your route takes you to Chapultepec Park. You can visit the castle where the "last emperor" of Mexico, Maximilian of Habsburg, stayed.
You will discover the Basilica of Guadalupe, the second most visited religious monument in the world after the Vatican. Return to your hotel at the end of the day.
Day 3 : Mexico City And Its Pre Columbian Vestiges
Location: Mexico City

This morning, you will discover the National Museum of Anthropology (MNA): a great way to understand the evolution and history of Mexico. Take the time to visit the different parts of the museum, it is the most beautiful collection of pre-Columbian objects in the world. Then leave the capital to go to the archaeological site of "Teotihuacan" meaning "where the gods were born", city which was at the time of its splendor, the largest city of the world.
You will stop at an obsidian carving workshop to appreciate the meticulous work of a goldsmith. You will then arrive at the site of Teotihuacan. Contemplate the pyramids of the sun and the moon, and visit the temple of Quetzalcoatl.
Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 4 : Mexico Bohemia

This morning, discover in the Zona Rosa, a traditional market of Mexican crafts and silver. Take the opportunity to buy a souvenir of your stay in Mexico. Then head to Xochimilco and take a ride on a "trajinera", a large, colorful, semi-open boat that cruises quietly through the canals between floating gardens filled with flowers and the sound of mariachi music. Then head to the Coyoacán neighborhood. Visit this village that looks like a Mexican Montmartre. Its bohemian character and its quietness contrast with the tumult of Mexico City.
Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 5 : Mexican Gastronomy

This day will allow you to discover the Mexican gastronomy, now considered as world heritage by the UNESCO. This morning, we will go to the Merced market, located in the southeast of the Zócalo. Visit this market, which covers more than 50,000 square meters, and then head to the chic neighborhood of La Roma to discover its market of fine products. You will be able to discover and taste several Mexican specialties before going to the famous "taquerÃa el Califa" of the neighborhood, to taste the tacos, a national specialty, composed of a warm tortilla filled. Afterwards, you'll go to the "Neveria Roxy" to enjoy one of the best ice creams in the city! Direction the district of La Condesa, one of the most beautiful districts of the city. To finish this day, in this same district, you enter and discover what the Mexicans, call "a cocina economica", namely a small family restaurant, in which the service is directly operated by the owner, himself. After tasting a traditional national dish, your driver will drive you to your hotel.

What is the difference between Group Vacations and Private Vacations?
If you purchase one of our Group vacation packages, you will be escorted by a professional tour guide and will be traveling with other like-minded travelers you may not know. The group size depends on the tour you select. If you purchase one of our Private vacation packages, you will be traveling only within your group of friends. You may or may not be escorted by a professional tour guide; this depends on the type of private tour you are interested in.

When and how will I receive the travel documents (vouchers)?
If you book one of our Group or Private tours, you will receive your travel documents via email approximately 20 days prior to travel date. If you reserve one of our Vacation Rentals, you will hear back from the property manager via email a few days prior to checking-in. We recommend checking your emails on a regular basis as this is our most reliable method of communication. If you have questions or need additional support, you can always chat with us or email us directly.

What happens if a Group tour does not get confirmed?
It is very simple... you will be offered an alternative departure date or be refunded the full amount you pre-paid. No questions asked!

What happens after I book?
The majority of our tours are confirmed at the time of booking. This means that, after submitting the payment online, you will receive an order confirmation email; make sure to save this email and to note down your confirmation number for any future communication with us. Some tours may be sold on a 'on request' basis. This means that for these tours we reserve the right to check the availability of your spot(s) with the Tour Operator before confirming the tour to you. As soon as you submit the payment online for a 'on request' tour you will receive an email notification that confirms your order request. Within 72 hours, you will receive either a confirmation email or a denial email. Do not worry... we will do everything we can to confirm your tour!
