Visit to the Giza plateau, symbol of ancient Egypt, with the famous pyramids of : Kheops, (the largest built around 2650 BC), one of the 7 wonders of Antiquity and the only one to have stood the test of time. For over 40 centuries, it was the tallest man-made monument, standing 146 metres high. Khephren, the pyramid of Khephren, appears higher than that of Kheops, but in reality it is slightly lower, due to its steeper angle and its location on slightly higher ground, Mykerinos, the tomb of King Mykerinos, is much smaller than the other two pyramids, standing 66 metres high. The Sphinx (lion with Pharaoh's head), the enigmatic guardian of the tombs and temple, faces east to protect the tombs from looters. It is 73 metres long and 20 metres high, carved from a single block of stone. Lunch on the way.
Visit to the National Museum of Antiquities, whose treasures range from the prehistoric age to the Roman period. Among the treasures on display is the famous Tutankhamen treasure. Home to over 250,000 pieces, it is one of the world's largest museums. It allows visitors to discover the history of ancient Egypt over 5 millennia.

The greatest kings (Sethi I, Ramses II, Thutmosis III, Ramses III) succeeded one another here. The name "Karnak", meaning "fortress", dates back to the Islamic conquest.
- Lunch on board.
VISIT TO LOUXOR TEMPLE Built to glorify the god Amon Ra, who celebrated the anniversary of their marriage each year with his wife Mut. The procession left the temple at Karnak and followed the banks of the Nile to Luxor. Construction of the latter dates back to the reign of the two pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Two obelisks adorned the entrance: they were donated to France in 1831 by Mehemet Ali; one is still in situ, while the other stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Day 5 : Edfu
Location: Edfu

Breakfast on board.
- Sailing to Edfu.
- Lunch on board
- Departure for a visit to the splendid Temple of Horus at Edfu, this masterpiece of architectural balance and elegance is one of the best-preserved sites in all of ancient Egypt, a fine example of Ptolemaic art from the Greco-Roman period. You enter the temple through the great pylon, decorated with huge reliefs showing the king and the gods, into the courtyard, whose walls tell of the various rites performed by the king. Two large black granite falcons, representing the god HORUS, guard the temple entrance.
- Cruise continues to Kom Ombo.
Visit to the KOM OMBO TEMPLE.
Just a 5-minute walk away: Isolated on a promontory on the banks of the Nile, this Greco-Roman temple, the only one of its kind in Egypt, brings together two superb sanctuaries, one dedicated to Sobek, the Crocodile God, and the other to Horus, the Falcon God. It was built in the Ptolemaic period (Ptolemy dynasty, Greco-Roman period) on the site of a New Kingdom temple (dedicated to Thutmosis III, 18th dynasty). It stands on a hilltop 15 metres above the Nile. Its most astonishing feature is that it is dedicated to 2 distinct divinities: the falcon god HAROERIS, "HORUS the Great", sometimes called "HORUS the Ancient", and SOBEK, the crocodile god.
This temple is all about duality: it has two entrances, two parallel corridors, symmetrically arranged halls on either side of these corridors, all coming together at the double sanctuary. On the esplanade in front of the entrance, sculpted columns reveal shimmering colors. The small building to the right of the entrance is Hathor's chapel, housing a number of crocodile mummies.
Sailing to Aswan
- Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6 : Kom Ombo Aswan

Accommodation Name: M/S Pioneer

- After President Nasser built the Aswan High Dam in the 1960s, the island of Philae, upstream from the Nile's first cataract, was completely covered by water. With UNESCO's help, work was undertaken to dismantle Philae's monuments piece by piece and reassemble them on the neighbouring island, 400 metres downstream. Philae was entirely dedicated to ISIS, and this Ptolemaic temple (Ptolemaic dynasty, Greco-Roman period) has preserved its NAOS, the stone tabernacle housing the statue of the divinity.

How does Today Voyages work?
We are an Online Travel Agency, specialized in Group Vacations and Private Vacations. We have been in business for over 30 years through our sister company Go West Tours and, throughout the years, have developed an extensive network of trusted professionals around the world and a structured methodology to screen our suppliers. Today Voyages offers a selection of tours that are designed, managed and operated by our network of trusted Tour Operators and DMCs. Our database is connected with our partners so that when you make a booking with us this will immediately be received and processed by the Tour Operator.
-
Where should I buy the flights to reach my destination?
Today Voyages does not sell flights directly. None of our tours come with flights included. Why? Because we prefer to give full flexibility to our valued customers to select the airlines and the booking platform they prefer. As soon as your flight is booked and confirmed, we invite you to update your flight plan within your Today Voyages booking confirmation page by entering your flight number, departure and arrival times, as well as your Passport information (if needed). None of these fields are mandatory but we highly encourage you to provide as much information as possible. This will allow us to provide you with the excellent service you are looking for.
-
What is an additional excursion or tour optional?
Certain tours might show a selection of additional excursions/optional activities that you may want to add to our standard itinerary. These services are priced separately and can be added to the cart before completing the booking. We believe these optional services to contribute to making your vacation unforgettable; however, you are in no way obliged to purchase them. All our tours are awesome with our without optional services!
-
What is the difference between Group Vacations and Private Vacations?
If you purchase one of our Group vacation packages, you will be escorted by a professional tour guide and will be traveling with other like-minded travelers you may not know. The group size depends on the tour you select. If you purchase one of our Private vacation packages, you will be traveling only within your group of friends. You may or may not be escorted by a professional tour guide; this depends on the type of private tour you are interested in.
-
When and how will I receive the travel documents (vouchers)?
If you book one of our Group or Private tours, you will receive your travel documents via email approximately 20 days prior to travel date. If you reserve one of our Vacation Rentals, you will hear back from the property manager via email a few days prior to checking-in. We recommend checking your emails on a regular basis as this is our most reliable method of communication. If you have questions or need additional support, you can always chat with us or email us directly.
-
What happens if a Group tour does not get confirmed?
It is very simple... you will be offered an alternative departure date or be refunded the full amount you pre-paid. No questions asked!
-
What happens after I book?
The majority of our tours are confirmed at the time of booking. This means that, after submitting the payment online, you will receive an order confirmation email; make sure to save this email and to note down your confirmation number for any future communication with us. Some tours may be sold on a 'on request' basis. This means that for these tours we reserve the right to check the availability of your spot(s) with the Tour Operator before confirming the tour to you. As soon as you submit the payment online for a 'on request' tour you will receive an email notification that confirms your order request. Within 72 hours, you will receive either a confirmation email or a denial email. Do not worry... we will do everything we can to confirm your tour!
