Here are very few treks in the world that bring you in close up views of Himalaya peaks that rise to a height of over 7000 meters without forcing you to push yourself to the very limit, and the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is one of them. The 14 days Journey takes you through rice paddies, high-elevation scenery, and dense rhododendron forests before introducing you to majestic Himalaya peaks that leave you speechless with their natural beauty. Standing of Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at 4130 m is unique and incredibly magnificent, set amidst the majestic Himalaya peaks of Mount Annapurna I (8091 m), South Annapurna (7219 m), Fishtail (6993 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m) and the other Himalayas peaks. This trek takes 7 to 14 days, depending on the trek itinerary and length of hiking days. The itinerary presented here takes 11 days, beings from Nayapul (a two-hour drive from Pokhara city), and trekking through north up to Ghorepani (2,860m) and the popular viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m). From here, you will trek through eastward to Tadapani, Chomrong, Dovan, Deurali, and then north again entering the Modi Kola which leads up to the Annapurna Base Camp. The Annapurna Sanctuary trek is the perfect way to get Close up views of the vertical south face of Annapurna I (world’s 10th highest mountain- 8091 meters) will leave you spellbound. towering above the sanctuary to the northwest. The mornings are best for viewing these peaks as the sun reflects in different colors off the glistening snow. Other huge peaks seen from ABC are Tharpu Chuli (5663m), Singu Chuli (6501m), Hiunchuli (6441m), and South Annapurna (7219m).

Day 1 : Arrival In Kathmandu (1,350M) & Transfer To Hotel.

Location: Kathmandu

Accommodation: Hotel

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, will pick you up by a Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative, and taken to your hotel. After checking in at the hotel, you will be briefed on what to expect on your trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill ABC. This will be followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 2 : Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara (8,50M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Our guide will pick you from the hotel early in the morning and we will head towards the tourist bus station which takes 10 minutes walk from Thamel. We will spend almost seven hours to reach Pokhara. After arriving at a Pokhara, you can take a rest, or either you can explore the beauty of the city of the lakes. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 : Drive From Pokhara To Nayapul & Trek To Ulleri (2,070M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Today After having breakfast, at our hotel in Pokhara. We will take the private car and drive to Nayapul to the actual trek starting point. Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul takes around one an half hours. Afterward, we will hike to Hile from there the view of beautiful villages, hills, and mountains will be gratifying and refreshing. Hike to Hile will take around 3 hours. We will take lunch at Hile. After lunch, We will hike through Tikhedhunga (1,577m) and Ulleri (2,070m). At Ulleri, we will be able to witness the exquisite culture of the Magar people. tonight we will stay in Ulleri at teahouse.

Day 4 : Trek From Ulleri To Ghorepani (2,860M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After having breakfast, early morning we will trek to Ghorepani. We will walk through the beautiful oak and rhododendron forests to reach a small village called Banthanti. In spring season you can see the colorful rhododendron flower on your way to Ghorepani. After walking for 2 hours uphill from there, we arrive picturesque Ghorepani (2,840m) today our destination. We will stay in Ghorepani at tea house.

Day 5 : Hike Up To Poonhill For Sunrise And Trek To Tadapani (2,610M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Today early in the morning at 4:00 am we will hike to beautiful view point at Poonhill (3,210m). The Poonhill is famous as the best viewpoint of the grand Annapurna region. The sunrise and sunset from here is truly splendid. The view of sunlight pouring into the panoramic Himalayas such as South Annapurna and Dhaulagiri truly is heaven on earth. After spending few hours at Poonhill, we will trek down to Ghorepani. We will take breakfast and we will continue our climb along the ridges through pine and rhododendron forests. It will bring us to Deurali (3,000m) A short incline from there will bring us to our destination for today, Tadapani (2,610m). We will stay in Tadapani at teahouse.

Day 6 : Trek From Tadapani To Chhomrong (2,170M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Today, We will enjoy our breakfast in the teahouse with magnificent views of Mt. Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Mt. Fishtail before we start our trek to Chhomrong. We will fallow the trail descends down until we cross Kimrong Khola. We will pass through the small stream to continue the gentle flat path. Chhomrong is known as the gateway to ABC. Chhomrong is one of the large Gurung villages with majestic views of Mt Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. We will stay In the teahouse.

Day 7 : Trek From Chhomrong To Dovan (2,510M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After having breakfast, the trail from Chhomrong village starts with a steep descend to Chhomrong Khola followed by a steep climbing after crossing the stream. It's going to be a multiple uphill and downhill day. Once we reach Sinuwa Village, we will be following a gentle trail to the top of Dovan and start descending for one hour. We will stay at Local Teahouse.

Day 8 : Trek From Dovan To Deurali (3,210M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

We will follow the trail from Dovan to Deurali is short and beautiful through the beautiful bamboo and rhododendron forests. On the way to Deurali can be seen beautiful majestic peaks will welcome us. We will climb to the Himalayan and stop for lunch and continue another two hours to reach Deurali for overnight. The path leads us between the beautiful Annapurna South in a side and Mount fishtail on the other side. We spend our night at Local Teahouse.

Day 9 : Trek From Deuali To Annapurna Base Camp (4,130M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

From Deurali, We pass through beautiful high alpine forests along with stunning Himalayan views of snow-capped peaks. we trek through several spots known for avalanches is not less adventurous and less challenging. After climbing uphill for a few hours, we will reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp MBC for the lunch; MBC is surrounded by peaks in 360 degrees. The trek further here becomes challenging because of the uphill trek and high altitude. Continuing for three hours will take us to Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by the Magnificent high Himalayan peaks from all corners. We stay overnight at teahouse.

Day 10 : Trek From Annapurna Base Camp To Bamboo (2,345M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After spending some hours with the mountains, we will take breakfast, then after we will trek down to beautiful Bamboo village. We will return following the same path. Our trail drops by around 1,700m along the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2,345m. Arriving at bamboo, we can go for a short exploration of the place. We will stay in bamboo at teahouse.

Day 11 : Trek From Bamboo To Jhinu Danda (1,760M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

After having breakfast at Bamboo, we will trek to reach Jhinu Danda. We will make a steep ascent to Kuldi Ghar. From Bamboo to Sinuwa, and following the stone steps to Lower Chomrong. Afterward, we will climb up a thousand stone steps to reach Chhomrong. Then after, we will descend through the steep trail to Jhinu Danda (Hiotspring). We can enjoy ourselves in the natural hot springs 20 minutes away from Jhinu Danda. We will stay in Jhinu danda at Teahouse.

Day 12 : Trek To Siwai And Drive To Pokhara (850M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Location: Pokhara

After having breakfast, we start trek to Siwai from where we will take a shared jeep or bus to Nayapul followed by a private car/jeep to Pokhara. Today is one of the easy days among the whole trek. The path from Jhinu to Siwai is mostly flat and we will be following the thundering Modi river throughout. We walk through rice paddies and green hills on the side. Enjoy the last day of trekking in Pokhara before we start our journey back to Kathmandu on the next day. We stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 13 : Drive Back To Kathmandu (1350M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Today, We will follow the same highway through beautiful rivers, hills, and small Nepalese settlements. The Bus ride will take about seven hours to drop us in Kathmandu Valley. Form the tourist bus park You will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening you can explore Thamel or buying some souvenirs.

Day 14 - Transfer To The International Airport For Your Final Departure.

Today is the end of the beautiful Annapurna Base Camp journey. Sherpa Expedition and Trekking Team’s representative will take you to the airport 3 hours prior to your flight. We bid farewell as you take heaps of memories and happiness back to your home.
