Over your “Matriarchs in the Margins” immersive experience, understand the traditions that shaped the roles women played in English and Wampanoag society. This living memorial is dedicated to the lifestyle of the first English settlers and the Wampanoag Indigenous community. • Newport: Step aboard the Rum Runner II, a restored 1940’s motor yacht like those built during the height of Prohibition, to explore Newport’s waterways. Cruise by Newport mansions, former speakeasies, lighthouses, islands, and many other points of interest along the waterfront. Step out onto the covered aft as your crew and captain enlighten you to many of the interesting stories of the houses and the people who once occupied them.
