Cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage site of Wachau, known for its visual landscape, it showcases many intact and visible traces of its continuous, organic evolution since pre-historic times in terms of architecture, urban planning or agricultural use showcased by its monasteries, castles and ruins, towns, villages and the cultivated fields of vines and apricots. Arrive at Melk, a town dominated by the 11th-century Melk Abbey, an impressive monastery built high above the ground. Perhaps you can choose to visit the impressive Abbey, the baroque Benedictine monastery, which contains the remains of several members of the House of Babenberg, Austria's first ruling dynasty.

The baroque Benedictine monastery of Melk is impressively enthroned above the city at the entrance to the Wachau Danube. For more than 1,000 years, Melk has been a spiritual and cultural center of the country. The monastery has become literarily known, among other things, through Umberto Eco's novel \"The Name of the Rose\". The imposing Baroque building is a visible expression of the importance of the monastery in the Baroque period. A guided tour through the monastery impressively conveys the former importance of the monastery. Afterward, you can explore the outdoor facilities yourself before the bus picks you up again and brings you back to the ship. Cruise will sail for Passau in the evening
