On Day 4, you can choose from a variety of activities including a second gorilla tracking, gorilla habituation experience, climbing various volcanoes, bird walks, bicycle rides, cultural village walks, canoeing on Lake Mutanda, golden monkey habituation or tracking, and the Batwa Trail.

What should I expect during the gorilla tracking day?
On the gorilla tracking day, you will be briefed at 7:45 am and start tracking at 8:30 am. Once you find the gorillas, you can spend up to one hour with them. The walks can take 3 to 9 hours depending on where the gorillas are located, and it is recommended to be physically fit.

Yes, additional costs not included in the tour price are drinks, porters, personal expenses, tips for the guides, optional activities in Kisoro, airport departure tax, meals (lunch and dinner) which are approximately USD $25 each per person per day, and a COVID-19 PCR test which costs $65 per person.

What kind of transport is provided during the tour?
The tour provides transport in a car with an open roof and 4WD. Pick-up and drop-off services are also included.

What happens on the last day of the tour?
On the last day, if you are departing in the morning, the hotel provides a shuttle to the airport. If you are departing in the evening, you can choose to do activities in Kampala and Entebbe such as a city tour, visiting Ngamba Island for orphaned chimps, the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Botanical Gardens, or a Mabamba swamp tour.

Is there an age limit?
No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
Most of our trips cater to the adventurous independent traveller. In fact, many of our travellers arrive on their own and quickly find that they easily meet like-minded people along the way at their hostels, on transportation, or during activities.

Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip, especially when travelling in developing countries. Bamba does not include travel insurance of any type.Your current medical insurance may cover part of your trip, so it is important for you to become familiar with your current coverage. We recommend purchasing additional travel insurance that provides coverage for medical emergencies, emergency evacuation and repatriation, lost or stolen items and unforeseen cancellations. If you plan to participate in activities such as white-water rafting, trekking, sand-buggy rides, etc please make sure they are included in your policy.
